Karmen Dann, an Ohio native, has had an eye for design since a young age. While other kids were on the playground, Karmen was at the street mission run by her parents, sorting through piles of donated clothing. It was there that she was first exposed - and came to love - fashion, texture, and color. By 4th grade she was selling fabric swatches at recess to her classmates. By 5th grade she was dying her hair and curating her own outfits. Karmen’s passion for style has never ebbed. She is forever experimenting with fashion and design believing that style is individualized, and is inspired from the inside out.
Karmens TV/Internet/Industrial commercial work is balanced by the freelance she has done both in and out of Ohio. On any given day you might find Karmen indoors styling 80 children for internationally televised commercial spots or outdoors doing costume design for a large cast of a short film. Living in Columbus, Ohio, with it’s abundance of headquartered fashion brands, has proven to be the perfect launching pad for Karmen’s career as a stylist. While there she’s quickly obtained a vast amount of experience in commercial and print wardrobe styling. Her work proudly includes ecomm and marketing for clients such as DSW and Lane Bryant.
Karmen’s experience is diverse and robust. She brings energy and creatively to every set and works with precision and speed. She understands how to bring a production team’s vision to fruition. Her most recent work can be seen in the 2016 short film “Welcome To Grandville” set to be released in the next festival circuit.
